Big dog needs home

Post by Harry on Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:33 am

Daisy is a 2-3yo (Not sure) Great Dane.

She is Harlequin in colour,

she's a big dog and needs space in her new home,

she is great with kids and other dogs (Loves when Bobby and Ruby visit)

and is housetrained and loves to be inside on her bean bag.

She knows some tricks and is obidient for the most part.

Does not get carsick.

Also a great watch dog, and very good deterent with her size.

She is not the biggest Great Dane but she's about average for a female.

It is very sad circumstances that she has to be re-homed, her owner has recently found out that he is allergic to dogs and that was the reason for his stomach problems, so the doctor has said she has to go.

She needs a good home preferably sooner rather than later. If anyone is interested or know's someone who might be interested please PM me.

I'm thinking Re-homing i'm not sure tho, it's my dad's best friend, and he hasn't had much luck with his Great Dane's his first 1 Scooby got wobblers (the back bone's all grow together) and that left him with Daisy and now he has to get rid of her aswell.

I texted him today about her situation and he said "Available to very good home"

Hey all,

just stumbled across this site as I was looking for a Great Dane. I'd probably interested in re-homing the above.

I had a Dane a while back in for foster but unfortunately he has not shared a home with another dog before and nearly killed my old girl (golden lab). But i fell in love with them from this time.

Give me a shout in case you are still looking for a new home

Thanks
-Markus

Yes, she's still available, she's great with other dogs, She plays with my 2 Golden Retrievers aswell, she plays quite rough but is not aggresive in the least, I think she'd do great with your Lab.

Hey Harry - thanks

Glad to hear that - any infos on how she would possibly behave around a cat?

I understand she's obviously grand with Kids which is important since I have a 6.5 year old girl.

Where is the Dane based ?

@ Yena

I am originally from South West Germany (probably around 150 miles away from Frankfurt) but moved to Ireland a good few years ago.

And no probs at all - happens but I can assure anyone around here I am not known around any dog breed / community (never been active in any before and just came across this site thanks to google)

I don't know what she'd be like, she gets along well with dogs like West Highland Terriers and Yorkshire Terriers etc. I wouldn't think there'd be a big problem there?

She is based in Sligo just outside the town of Sligo itself, are you really interested? If so i'll put up some pics for you...

@ Harry

Yes I'd really be interested - As I said I had a Dane in for foster (must have been around autumn last year) but due to the fact that he bit the lab I have really badly he had to leave sooner then expected. The good thing though was that I fell in love with the breed lol

So yeah I'd really appreciate if you could put up some pics.

@ Celtic

No probs - I have an idea as to why that happened - I use 3 mobile broadband and they reuse IP's and or assign ip's fairly strangely - I had several issues with known "download sites" as apparently I was downloading already with my IP

All good i'd say Wink

I dont have to understand that now do I ? lol

On a lighter note - admins do have access to the backend and can see my email adress - at yahoo one can check when that address was setup (about 5 or 6 years ago) and btw that is my full name.

Thanks Harry.
